One of the hardest parts of blogging is learning to write in a way that is appropriate to the medium. One must learn how to write in such a way that is informal and conversational. Speak from your heart as much from your head. One of the best ways to learn how to blog is by reading those written by others. This is helpful in finding your own style of how you wish to do your blog. First, you must decide who you want your audience to be. Once you have established that, try to make your writing style and content be what would appeal to that particular group of individuals.
When you have completed your blog be sure and use spell check. Even though you are writing in an informal style, you are still writing for business purposes. Pay attention to using proper grammar, as well. When working on your blog think about proper formatting. Spacing between sentences should be single not double. Only double space between paragraphs and make sure they are aligned to the left. This will help make the blog much more readable. Also, stick with a font that everyone can read. A font size of 10-12 should meet most everyone's needs.
Try to write original material. Don't copy and paste what others have written. This won't really convey to your readers or potential clients a sense of who you are. Writing your own original content is one of the best ways to really declare your own personal perspective. Get creative!
